oh my goodness

WOW-- I didn't know that it had been so long--- I knew it had been a while though. I have so much that's happened since the. Nothing monumental- stuff I would have blogged about but haven't been able to.

Life has been passing me by lately. I don't know where it's going but I seem to be caught up in the hustle of it and not savoring the moments. And if you know any understanding of my recent realizations about life-- it's that it's about the moments. Catching them. Living them. and knowing that you can't redo them.

Ryan and I are good. We celebrated Christmas with his family and we are glad to be home.
He finished up his last fall semester of pre-reqs for pharmacy school and re-learning what it's like to study again- only this time while working 30 hours a week and having a wife. I personally think it would be harder if he didn't have a wife :) but I am bias.

Today, I spent 5 hours shopping for wedding dresses with my dear friend Lynde who's wedding I am going to be in this fall. I am so honored to be standing up for a dear friend that I met through my last job-- one of the few blessings that resulted from that job were two great friendships with peers. Erin and Lynde and I wouldn't be friends if I hadn't worked there. So for that I am thankful. (see God really does bring good from bad) Anyway. Lynde is marrying Brad who I was friends with in High school. It's a small world but they both come from great families and do a good job of balencing and complimenting one another. I am honored to be a part of their big day!

Big news with my family is that Ryan and Heidi (my brother and sister in law) are moving to Wisconson. It will be a good move for them. We are excited and happy for them. Sad that we won't see them as much and will miss out of the girls (my nieces). But I know this is the best thing for them and with Ryan (my hubby) and my schedule's we don't get to get to the other side of the state much anymore.

I am still working at the bank & thankful to have that job.

Ryan and I have made a rule in the new year to dedicate ourselves to working out and losing weight while focusing on just getting healthy in general. This last year we both put on weight through me being sick for so long and then losing my job and the stress that went with that. Our goal is to be realistic... but realize that healthy isn't easy. I am hoping to participate is some sort of race this fall and then be in complete shape for Lynde and Brad's wedding. I know I have to have something I am working toward.

Hmm- well if you have read this far I might as well share some pictures with you. :) Oh yea, and we bleached Ryan's hair-- so if it looks bleach blond it's cause it is :)

Prayers, please.

Hug your children!!! This darling little girl died yesterday morning in her sleep. I was going to post about it last night , but I just couldn't get my mind around this. Sarah (Teegan's mom) is a fellow photographer on one of the boards I am on. On Sunday night Teegan (who just turned 2 this summer) had a cough. They gave her medicine and she went to sleep- at 3 am she was caughing and they brought her into their bed. In the morning Sarah's husband couldn't wake her up. The autopsy said it was a virus that took over her lunge just 12 hours before she passed. What a helpless situation. Sarah has already lost 1 older son in a car accident. I can't even imagine.
PLEASE HUG YOUR KIDS.
PLEASE PRAY FOR SARAH & GRANT AND THEIR 3 LITTLE BOYS.

life.

So I have been a horible blogger. Life has taken over. I told you all no promises once I started working and with Christmas and photo shoots.... life has been busy, stressful, but good.

I was reminded today-- above all else I am blessed. Our sermon at church was remarkable. I haven't quite processed it all, but I walk away knowing that while we live tight paycheck to paycheck- and that's still not usually enough. We are blessed beyond what we could ever imagine!

Work is still going well.
Christmas with my family this weekend, gotta finish up stuff for that.
We leave the 20th to see Ryan's family.
Sadly they will probably be puting one of his dogs to sleep before we arrive. :(

I can't believe Christmas is almost here!! Are you ready!?
I had a great photo shoot with a dear friend and her family this weekend after another planed shoot fell through. I offered to take the Hughes family pictures. I like how this one turned out. there is some shadow detailing that I am not a fan of, but I am overall pleased given the lighting and location limitations. Just a reminder I need to keep practicing-- I have lots to learn.

Anyway, I gotta get some laundry done and get off the computer so Ryan can study for his 2 exams tomorrow... then he is done for the semester! WOO WHOO!

Have a great week.
