Trick or Treat
I know Halloween has already happened... more on that this weekend (Ryan was a mad scientist and dressed up for work--- it was hilarious). But for today I want to know what your thoughts are on a few things...
... what was your favorite costume? (I think if I go on history - mine must have been a clown. I remember being a clown several years. More than anything I remember in 7th grade when my best friend and I agreeed to wear our costumes to school- except she was smart enough to bring a change of clothes in case no one else at school so she could change--- yep- I wasn't that smart and I wore a costume and wig around all day! FABULOUS!)
... If you have kiddos, what were they dressed up as? I don't have kiddo, just a hubby who dressed up as a mad scientist-- I think he had the best costume.
... What do you remember being your favorite part of Halloween? Mine most vivid memory was coming home (when I was older) and dumping our (my friends and my) bags and counting/ trading our candy-- peanut butter cups, always my favs!
... What is your fav candy? Snickers or Peanut butter cups.
... Did you have any trick or treaters? What did you pass out? :( We didn't have any- that's 2 years in a row!
Don't forget-- you can leave me a comment even if you aren't a blogger!! Pictures will come tomorrow! Hope you had a great halloween!

- I don't really remember a favorite costume... I wasn't a huge fan of Halloween. I do remember wearing those stupid plastic masks when I was little. Do you remember those? With the cut out eye holes and the slit just big enough to stick your tongue through and the thin elastic string around your head? lol!
I do remember being excited to be a gypsy one year because I got to wear my mom's big dangly earrings!
-my kids were a skunk and a black cat this year. kind of a pepe lepue kind of thing.
- the candy was my favorite part. the only part I liked. I hated getting dressed up and I hated going from door to door and having to talk to strangers. I was way too shy to have fun on Halloween.
- kit kats or twix or skittles
- we had a ton of trick or treaters... our neighborhood is full of kids and I felt like our whole subdivision was outside at one point or another that night.
I need to get pictures up on my blog today. I've been lazy with that.
Sounds like you had fun (even without trick or treaters)!
I would have loved to see Ryan in his mad scientist outfit. I was the tooth fairy this year. Wore your old angel outfit and had plastic teeth hanginf from a collar and pinned on to the skirt. Also a gold halo with plastic teeth glued to it. Funny how all of the kids knew who I was, but it took the parents a while to figure it out. We had probably 75 trick or treaters. I gave out all chocolate!!!
Love, Mom D
Heather--- I totally remember those nasty plastic masks-- I remember that we didn't have the variety of cute costumes that kids have today! My mom made ours a few years (I was little red riding hood, my bro the wolf- my dad granny- HILARIOUS! What a sport he was!)
Mom- No worries pictures are coming today! Tooth fairy- great idea! Love it- ah the mind of a child.
Keep the comments coming- i love hearing what you guys have to say!
I didn't dress up this year because we have no party to go to, and my favorite costume as a kid was probably a batgirl costume my mom made for me. She was the best at making us costumes!
I handed out Snickers and Twix this year :)
