I just posted that and it was suposed to go to my photo blog.... but ugh--it's not on that one. I am waiting to get my typepad up and running-- but til then I deal with blogger.

I should be editing some of my 1200 pictures I took at the wedding on Saturday. A few challenges of the day-- but all in all it went good. God continues to encourage me with opportunties and humble me with reminders that I am still learning. I will post some pics from Saturday soon.

An engagement shoot with Jamie & Chris. Jamie and Chris were such a fun couple. It was a beautiful day and I loved when they relaxed and were just themselves!!! Here is a glimpse at some of their black and whites!!

some pics & a day

Here are some pics that I referenced yesterday. They are from my last 2 photo shoots. I love the one of the hands.... I think it's priceless. The other one, I just love the red/orange behind them.



On another note -- my day was good. I have been having some realizations about life lately since I have been happy and able to reflect in a "right" mind.

I have been sorting out truths about who I am and what I have believed about myself for the past few years and what I am being reminded of now about the real me. I told Ryan this weekend... "I really am a good person". The crazy thing is it has probably been 5+ years since I have believed that. There have been times here or there that I had confidence, maybe when I started a job, or changed life situations... but it was short lived. This job I entered much the opposite. I felt defeated, and like I didn't really have much to offer--(a belief built after being reminded of otherwise on a frequent basis in the past few years).

In the past year or two, I have talked myself into "being happy" in order to remind myself of the many blessings in life-- but right now I can just generally say I am happy-- a happy I haven't felt in years. I can't explain it-- I just have a peace from God and I would do anything to keep it forever!!! I was reminded that this newly re-discovered happiness was evident to others today when someone called me "smiley". People used to refer to me as "smiley" all the time.... but I haven't heard that for a long time. The comment itself made me smile. :)

I hope you are having a happy day. Smile today--- even if it's forced--- the real thing will come.

photo editing... is anyone reading this?

Ok- I know I have been bad at posting-- but am I left writing this lovely blog for myself? No comments in a few days. GEESH! Leave a comment, so I know I am not posting for my own good. :) And for the fact that I want to know who is reading this thing. If you aren't a blogger don't worry-- you can still leave a comment.

Anyway, another good week. I was just telling a friend of mine that I can't remember a time when I have been more happy. Life is just all around good right now- finally! I have been spending my evenings in front of this computer editing photos from my last 2 shoots. Here is a glimpse.

I hope they load... I am on our computer that doesn't seem to like to load pics for me. (ugh- I will have to put them on here tomorrow.)

Anyway. I just wanted to post and share some pics and see if anyone is still out there! Leave me some lovin!!!

This is Jamie and Chris. I am shooting their wedding in August and had a great time doing their engagement pictures today. It was so sunny out & finally getting warmer.

Princesses, corprate world, and more

UGH! I hate new blogger!! I just wrote a lovely post- and IT'S GONE!!! I was finally able to load these pictures from the weekend (last weekend)This is E at the Palace. She was so in awe of the ice skaters it was awesome to watch the gaze in both their eyes! The rest of the pictures were taken with my new lens, 1600 speed, no flash, from the top section of the Palace. They aren't "TAK" sharp, but with a 3 year old on your lap, some things are ok. :)


Anyway- I am alive. I have some great pictures to share, and lots going on in the photography side of life as well as the "real" job part of life. I am loving every bit of my 9-5. The people I work with, the various bosses I have, and even the tasks I am doing. We moved to our "offical" spots now. So am all settled in and working my tail off- it's fabulous!

I am also pretty busy right now with the photograph things. Also fabulous. Life is just all around good right now... for the first time in a long time I am coping, and accepting the things God has thrown my way. Even the challenges. Not sure what it is, other than a mix of all the right things in all the right parts of life.

I think I have to try to load the pictures from a different computer. I will post later with the pics from the weekend. Ry is working on my CKphotography site and it will have a way for me to blog that part of life--- but I won't blog- my everyday life there-- I will have to stick with blogger!

new toys and a road trip.

I don't have much time- I am on my lunch break. It's snowing and nasty out and I am going to Rochester this weekend. I got my new lens for weddings and a additional flash for low light. I get to use both this weekend.

Here is the plan-
Friday- drive home after work- drop stuff off at Jonathans
Saturday- Day with the girls- mom, Heidi, Ellie, Kara, Rose- going to see "princesses on ice!" Trust me, I will have lots of pictures.
Sunday- New born photo shoot with Noah (3 week old actually)

So, I am off- I will be busy editing when I get back and I am sure I will post a few pics. I also booked another newborn shoot for April (well that is when they are due). Good stuff!
