If you were wondering

If you were wondering if I cut my hair.... I had 3 inches cut off. Sorry for the delay in pictures (and this one still doesn't show the hair well). When you are behind the camera it's really hard to get a good shot of yourself let alone one that shows your hair well. LOL

This little beautiful girl I am holding is my the newest addition to our world and belongs to my long time friend (since 6th grade). Thanks Heidi for the picture-- she is perfect. :)
Have a blessed thanksgiving!! We have lots to be thankful for!

Turkey & true life...

Last weekend we celebrated with my family my niece was sick and Ryan and I are sharing the same cough and crappy feeling. :( But- out of work early today- turkey tomorrow. Chef Ryan is cooking a delicious Turkey meal. I picked up the turkey today-- fresh, free range, antibiotic free turkey! YUM and enough for left overs. I am hoping that tomorrow I feel well enough to yank out the Christmas decorations! I love Christmas decorations!!

Check out my photo blog for some shots from recent shoots. I have session this weekend and maybe one more before the holidays. WOOOWHOOO! Which means I will hopefully be able to spend time working out, relaxing and enjoying my newest hobby knitting. :) YAY!!

Hope you all have a great true life Thanksgiving... may it include family, friends, food, laughter, sleep, shopping, hugs and love. :)

Kids

It's never been a question to anyone who has known me if I like kids or not. It's been pretty clear, so as I have pursued my photography career I have tried all kinds and by far my favorite is kids. I love their innocence. I love the simplicity of the smile on a little ones face. The carefree laughter in a small child, the heart of older ones who long to have a great picture to give their parents. So in hunting down my nitch- I have found that my heart longs to capture the moments of families, kids and teens. I love the emotion of the weddings- but I love the expression of love and joy in the face of a child- the togetherness in a family- and the sense of hope & confidence of high school seniors. Here are some from recent sessions.

(Yes- it was snowing yesterday during this session)

I hope you have been able to capture the moments in your life that express love- care- hope and joy. Sometimes it seems life is busy and we get going through the motions. I urge you to take 15min today (in the midst of the start of the Christmas/Thanksgiving season) and think about what you are blessed by- who you are thankful for- jot a note, pick up the phone, hug your kids.

Talk about MIA

I have no reason to explain why I haven't blogged- cause frankly- it's my blog. :) However I do wonder when people who's blogs I read don't update. Are they ok? What's going on? So I will fill you in.
I am ok- not much is going on- I'm just prioritizing my life and well the blog has been bumped the last few weeks. Today & tomorrow I have off from work (today vacation day- tomorrow vets day). I will be spending time cleaning, working out, and editing pictures.

I started weight watchers a few weeks ago (i think 3) and I have lost 8.8 lbs. :) YAA WHO! Ryan and I also joined a gym and have been spending "spare" time there. Really we are just making it fit in our schedule and cutting other unnecessary things. Easier said than done.

There is frickin snow on the ground today- it's freezing. Grrr.

I also just bought this perfect cleanse- a 10 day body detox. Hoping to clear out my colon and liver to make them function better. Cross my fingers that goes well. (sorry if that was TMI).

Also thinking of getting my hair cut like Rachel Ray. I didn't really like her short hair when she first cut it- but I've seen a few pictures lately that I really like. My question is can I pull it off! This is what I would want it to look like. I am in no way as cute as her - but I think a funky style might be fun. Of course I don't have thick hair- nor do I have a stylist. Maybe I will wait til I lose a few more lbs. Hmmm-- your thoughts-- please share.
Let me know your thoughts-- hope everyone is doing well!
